Framed Autographs
Framed Autograph inserts have become one of the backbones of Topps Allen & Ginter products. Topps put their own spin on Allen & Ginter by inserting Framed Autographs, as the original tobacco sets did not contain any signed cards.
What differentiates Topps Allen & Ginter Autographed Cards from autographs in other sets is the depth and variety of the subjects featured in their autograph checklists. The majority of the cards are baseball player autographs, but there are a substantial amount of autographs from non-baseball and non-sports subjects as well. These tend to be the most valuable and sought after autographs of them all.
There are two primary types of Allen & Ginter Autographs:
Allen & Ginter Superstars (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009) : Includes athletes from sports other then baseball, record holders, well known coaches, politicians, and historical figures.
Allen & Ginter Baseball (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009): MLB Star and Semi Star Autographs. The only set in which these autographs were numbered was 2006 Topps Allen & Ginter.
